Smile Salem, Mass Haunted Happenings!

Have any of you been to Salem during October? It's amazing! Don and I are taking our son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and our daughter there on Sunday. Can't wait. Such a quaint place to tour around in. I'll take pictures to show some of the sights. Feel like a kid, will Sunday ever get here!

I want to go to Salem. I love haunted houses and the like. Our house is haunted. Well not really, but we do see ghosts. We believe they're attached to us and not the house. My mum and sister are pyshic (sp?), I'm not, I only see them. And no I'm not kidding.

I just finished reading The Crucible which is about the Salem witch trials, I would love to hear from you about Salem when you go!

Absolutely roro! I'll be sure to take pictures of the prison cells where those poor unjustly accused people were kept awaiting their trial or death. The original cells are under water now , but before that happened the historical society took measurements to replicate the "dungeon" factually.
Also, the cemetery is quite lovely (?), yeah I like cemeteries, and if memory serves me correctly, there was a hanging tree nearby. Have to review my notes from previous trips.

Salem is so rich with history, aside from the witch trials, you can't help but feel it walking down the streets. My daughter would love to live in Salem when she graduates from college in the spring. Wouldn't that be wonderful! I know I'd visit often......maybe that's not such a good idea after all.

Psychic's see the future, Mediums see only the dead.

To the OP - I would LOVE LOVE LOVE TO GO! My Hubby and I are working on starting our own Ghost Investigative group. I find Hauntings fascinating, where I really want to go is Gettysburg.

My heart goes out to all those who were put on trial and found guilty due to the over zealous Puritans.

Go to that one restaurant that is on the location. I cannot recall the name but it is a lovely pub/restaurant. They say Bridget Bishop is still there. The land that the restaurant is on, is believed to be the land Bridget was hung on.

Get lots of pictures! If you have a Digital Video Camera, what I say is turn it to night vision and I guarantee you, that you'll catch allot of activity! *that is only if it is night or dark*

Gettysburg is very fun during Halloween went there for a high school trip but should you want to go trick or treating make sure you do it early because they end it at 10pm as for the haunted tours we didnt really have time but they sure looked interesting
