Love just sitting and watching the light show at night! The only bugger is the hail!
    Lots of damage last summer!
I'm too far north for the hail but FGRanch had some damage to her house, wrote a truck off, wind dropped a tree on my dad's camper, flipped a shelter over... It was crazy.

I love them too! Once while camping on half of the sky was thunder and lightening, beautiful colours, and the other was clear blue sky and a rainbow! It was AWESOME!

Too much thunder makes me a little uncomfortable. But otherwise I am fine. I love standing in really hard rain and the hail! Lightening doesn't freak me out as long as its not huge. Saw some spectacular lightning on the way to Calgary .

I used to be petrified of thunderstorms and tornadoes but i've calmed down so much since i'm older. Just remember as long as you know how to prepare for storms you'll be ok.

We have a strategically placed deck that's enclosed on 3 sides and faces away from wind, just so I can sit outside and watch the storms. Even when we get golf-ball sized hail, I love to watch. Nothing I can do to stop it or the damage it causes, so I might as well enjoy watching!

The only thing I'd really care about it wrecking is my truck! LOL
My deck is all open so I usually get wet, but it's all good. :)

Hubby about died after the last hail storm. Hail was baseball-sized 10 miles away and heading toward us so in a moment of desperation I took stock of what cover we own (one horribly crowded 2car garage and a 12x12 run-in that both cows were laying claim to) put the small ATV IN my house, the John Deere ride-on in one side of the garage, the big ATV sideways in the back of the garage so the house to garage door was no longer useable, jammed hubby's car in the rest of the garage with a 1/4" to spare, pulled my truck ALL the way up to the garage so the house would shield it somewhat, then put the minivan and the giant tractor surrounding it on the right since the wind was howling at 60mph from that direction.

We literally got about 3 pieces of maybe pea-sized hail.... so annoyed and tired I went to bed only to have an irate hubby (who slept through the whole storm) wake me up an hour later at 3am. Wth is your problem and how the hell am I supposed to go to work? Ooops!

    LMAO!!
That would have been too priceless to see the look on his face when he walked outside!
I would have done the same thing though!

Tornadoes are what scares me. Thankfully, I haven't experienced any close to home.

I love thunder storms. I love sitting in bed and feeling the ground tremble, and the rain patter against the windows. Puts me right to sleep.
