I was trying to picture how I would react to that and I think in the first scenrio, I might have hurt the little girl. Likely gave her a series of kicks that landed her back in her little hole in the wall.

The second one likely wouldn't have freaked me out too much. I have witnessed far more dead people then I wish to have. I would likely just have waited for the door to open so I could find someone to tell about it. When he reached out his arms, I would have laughed. At least, I think I would have.

I am glad they didn't do it to kids. At least none that they showed.

You know what I find really interesting about the one you posted Golden horse. If you watch almost every person in that video heads back for the door of the elevator. Even though the door end of the floor is the end that falls out from under them first. What does that say about basic human nature?

Sorry to say the women move onto the 'dropped' floor the men move to where is still is (the back)

I think the first videos are over the top and could cause a lot of distress for the people in the lift.

The art of jokes like this is to have people make fools of themselves rather than make fools of them.

Some 45 years ago there was a programme in the UK called 'Candid Camera' where the man set people up and their reactions recorded.

It was so funny simple things like getting someone to lean against a wall to stop it falling.
In a cafe sitting next to someone who was eating and taking things off their plate and eating it.

Some of these jokes were more complex but it was never to frighten the life out of someone.

We had that show here as well. I loved it. It was funny, clean humor without hurting someone. Because I saw this on Youtube, there were of course other practical jokes on there. Usually between couples and they were so nasty, dangerous and totally disrespectful of the person the joke was on. I didn't laugh once. All I could think was... If that were me, the relationship would be over right then and there. There is funny and there is just plain nasty.

The Floor dropping out would give me a second of shock for sure. I once had an elevator act up for real. It just wouldn't let me out, nothing big and it was a fairly short time. I usually make sure I don't have to go to the bathroom before getting on one now though. Ha ha
