While I can understand that POV in this case it is her former foster child and it certainly isn't an issue of 'children' dating in JR high or elementary, he's nineteen years old! Well into the age of being allowed to 'date' in my opinion and definitely at the age that he should be allowed to date seriously. While it might not be the most 'mature' move, I don't see marrying on Facebook 'rushing into adulthood' (especially when he is, in many opinions, an adult or close to it). I say it's 'none of her business' only in the sense that she is no longer his foster parent and he isn't a child.

I did not know the age of the foster child but the statement that he is married is false.
I believe in marriage equality for everyone yet to claim to be married yet only dating is not the truth. He is representing himself falsley.
You want the prestige of marriage . Go get married. If you legally can.
Claiming to be just for fun tells me the foster child thinks marriage is something to play at. Shalom

Is it really worth picking a battle over? It's just an exaggeration. "Kids" don't know what love is, he is still trying to find himself. Boys down mature as fast as girls. Yes, it's annoying, but people experiment with the idea of marriage and relationships differently. If I were his mother I'd be more worried about him not knocking up someone, what an appropriate relationship is like and teaching him how to treat a woman rather them him switching his relationship status to married on a social media site.

No one is picking a fight here. Just stating our opinions. I respect alexcristinas view and see her point.
Thankfully I am past the age doing the "in" thing or keeping up with the new trends is important.
I don't even have a Facebook account. Shalom

I don't mean with anyone here, I mean with the kid. Do you really think he thinks he's married? No. Kids that age love quick and hard, get their hearts broken then more on. I don't think there is anything demeaning and I don't see anything usual about this situation. I respect everyone else's opinion, I'm just stating mine.
