Sleepy at work!

Morning all,

I have been playing Rome:Total War game last night until 11:30pm and now since morning I am feeling so sleepy! My eyes are dieing to close, in fact they are shouting in my head "Close Close Close" but I can't close them. I can't sleep at work can I?

So today's question is, do you ever felt or feel sleepy at work?

Yes I do... a lot. I have to do quite a bit of work on the computer so my eyes get heavy, right away in the morning and after lunch are the worst.

I refuse to take anything with caffine so I just deal with it. I usually get about 7 hours of sleep too...

HAHAHAHHAHA OH Man this one time, well when the XBOX360's were first released, we did the camp out thing (for our game store), of course we didn't get any sleep with the weather being 20 degrees and nothing but a chair and sleeping bags, but the stores didn't open until 7am, then I went straight to work and opened at 11am. Ya.....I put my head down on the front desk and I GUESS I FELL ASLEEP!!!! Lol I don't know how long I was out for, but I woke up to a customer saying "hey are you ok???" to this day, that customer still comes in and reminds me of that time lol. I was so embarrassed. I could have been robbed! Thank god I wasn't.

Oh and today I'm super tired, went to bed around midnight and woke up at 4:30am to go to the goodwill grand opening :) lol ya.

Hahahaha! I wish I was that customer hahahaha

Hhahaha thanks Jehanzeb, I don't wish you were that customer because you'd probably come into the store MORE than him just so you can say "zzzzzzzzzzzzzz" lol jk!!!

Lol.... One time at work during lunch I was just exausted......Seriously tuckered out. I ate my lunch in the lunch room and had about 10 minutes to kill before I needed to head back to the office and I sat in the couch.....BIG mistake!!!!

I fell asleep on the couch watching the news... NO ONE said anything...well, I don't know that anyone saw me, I was alone in the room...but the next thing I know my BOSS is tapping me on the shoulder and asks if I'm ok... I was 45 minutes late coming back from lunch...Yep, that's right, I was asleep in the lunch room for almost an hour!!!!

I appologized and said I was fine, that I just hadn't slept well the night before and she actually let me go home early.... AND I got a full day's pay??!?!?! Yeah, I figured I'd get fired...guess I was a good employee. It's never ever happened again. (falling asleep at work)

Always but in my case I can go take a nap go to bed earlier so you get a good night's rest, you won't have to fight with being drowsy during the day

Haha over the summer we were really short at work so I was working 16 hour days every day. So, one day about 10 days into a long string of 16 hour days I had to do private duty for a lady 7am-3pm then work the floor 3pm-11pm..well she never woke up before noon so I'd sit in her la-z-boy and read a book...I fell asleep..That morning before I went up to her apartment the nurse(my boss) was asking if I'd pick up the morning shift 7am-3pm the next day and I was so exhausted I really didn't want to so I said I'd think about it.. Well, she came up to ask again if I'd do it and she found me sleeping! I was like OMG OMG OMG NOOO!!! I was freaking out...so scared! She asked if I was sleeping and I said that I had a terrible headache (not really a lie) and she's like Oh no that's not good, did you take something for it? And I said yeah. Then she asked if I'd take the shift and I felt so horrible for falling asleep that I said yes.. Then she went to leave and said "Go back to sleep!" She's an awesome boss. I like her haha.

I am always yawning at work, but I never have a chance to try and fall asleep lmao! I am always walking, helping someone, doing something at work, never get to sit or stand still long enough to sleep. I have howevder fallen asleep at schoo;!!! Lol on more than one occasion! One time I was leaning on my arm on my desk and I must have fallen asleep and I jerked adn almost fell out of my seat!!!
