If I didn't drive on snow & ice, I would be housebound for months. Good winter tires are key, NOT all season tires, useless in snow! And if you do start to slide, foot off the gas, no braking and steer into the direction of the slide, works like a charm. The worst thing I hate about winter driving is it melts during the day, then freezes at night. I live on the top of a mountain, more than once I couldn't make it up in the ice, so I had to hike it the last mile, IN HEELS! Dang hubby was sleeping & didn't hear the phone, he has the 4x4 truck, I drive a car, oh well, good exercise.
