    Space shuttle sighting.

Last night at about 7:46 central time (US) the space shuttle was visible in the night sky.

It was a fast moving object that looked like a bright star moving from the southwest to the north east.

My family stepped outside to see it. Anyone else catch a glimpse???

If the sky hadn't been so cloudy, I would have ran to catch a glimpse. How cool!

We were lucky, it was a beautiful cloud free night.

Sounds interesting. Unluckily I'm too far from there that I could have seen it .

For anyone that wanted to see it really was a great sight. I live right by Space Coast my dad use to take me to every launch we'd camp out and I'd eat WAY to much space man ice cream LOL here are some shots. My camera is horrible but you get the picture. The color was from a bright Orange to a pure white.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing, Heybird! Could you imagine seeing that and not knowing what it was? I suppose it would be freakier if it were coming down from the sky instead of shooting up toward it. But still!

Correct, I got to see it the next day after the launch.... I have about 20 seconds of video of it that my daughter took, it's not the best though.

What I saw was just a super bright "star" looking object zipping across the sky, it only took about 2 minutes if that for the shuttle to disappear.
