My gramma use to take care of elderly at her house and eventually they would pass on at her house..well after one of the very old ladies that she took care of passed on she stopped taking care of elderly. She told me one night when my grandpa went off to work (he worked nights) she was in the house and she heard someone calling her name numerous times. She thought it was her friend and said (i don't remember the ladies name) "is that you?" no answer. She thought someone was on her roof trying to get in one of the windows. She took my uncles pistol and went downstairs and there was nobody else in the house but her.

I've had a few funny feelings in that house as well as my aunts and uncles when they lived there. We do believe the house is haunted. My cousin said she heard foot steps in the hallway when she use to live there and she felt something like a dog jump on the bed.

I was on there computer once and my gramma didnt want me wasting electricity so she made me turn off all the lights. I could have SWORN there was someone over my shoulder watching me.

My grandpa use to always hear footsteps upstairs and going up/down the stairs. When no one else was in the house besides him

My uncle died an accidental horrible death. One night after his
Funeral my mom was asleep and the radio came on by itself
and started playing the song she picked out for his funeral,
And it happened again also the next night.

There was also some pictures we took in the house and there
was this white haze in everyone.

When my other uncle tried to take a picture of his grave stone,
All the pictures were messed up in this weird way....

We hear noises ALL THE TIME, it's something we just got used to,
We've also had people die in our house before.

The scariest thing is though....my mom gets her foot grabbed
Frequently, snatched rather, it scares her really bad and she
Has a bad heart, but she thinks it's my uncle letting us know he's
Still around because he was always the prankster.

But yes, I am a firm believer in the paranormal.

This wasn't in my house and I don't believe in ghosts but I can still share this. My aunt told it me.

My aunt think that there was or is a ghost in their ex-farmhouse. She apparently believes that the ghost is a young man who hung himself to death (a son of the house's ex-owner) before she bought the house with her husband. She told me about some cases when she rubbed elbows with the ghost.

The first case happened when my aunt was taking a sauna. The sauna of that farmhouse is a solitary outbuilding, not a part of a house (actually it's in pursuance of a cowshed. What a lovely combination!). Well, my aunt was taking a sauna whe she saw that there were somebody outside but still close to the sauna. First she though that the figural was her husband. But when she talked about this with her husband afterward he said he haven't even came close to the sauna building when my aunt was there. A remarkable thing is that the son who killed himself resembled externally my aunt's husband. There's no settlement very close to the ex-house so I don't believe that the figural would have been e.g. A neigbor. And if someone had visited on the sauna why he wouldn't have gone to the house because the husband were there?

The second case happened when my aunt's sister was visiting her. Their husbands were elsewhere but abruptly all animals in the house (a dog and some cats) started to gaze at a door of a room. Because my aunt told these stories few years ago I can't remember all details but if I remember right the dog went to the door and started to growl and also cats showed alert. There's only a corridor to a front door and stairs to a upstairs behind this door. Well, there were nobody or nothing in the corridor or elsewhere. The sister panicked and refused to leave a room before her husband came with my aunt's husband.

Like I said, I still don't believe in ghosts. I've spent some nights in this house and I've noticed nothing paranormal. But I think that my aunt really believes that it which happened was caused by a ghost.

Yep I believe and have had many paranormal experiences. Some people may be more sensitive than others when it comes to this sort of thing. Mediums is what they are usually called, being a believer may have something to do with it.

Through the years I've lived in many old houses with my husband and kids. One house was very haunted, we all had some sort of thing happen in that house and to this day call it the "possessed house".

The house we live in now is about 100 years old, we bought it 5 years ago. I "felt" the presence of an older man almost from the beginning. He was not malevolent, but sort of there as a protector. I often hear foot steps when I am the only one home and I think he must be cold natured because the heat in the house will get turned up when no one has done it. I have been home alone, I am pretty hot natured and have hot flashes so I keep it at 68. Well all of a sudden it got really hot so I checked the thermostat and it was turned up to 75! This has happened more than once.

So I got the feeling that this man had died in the house in the middle bedroom which is my daughter's and stays colder than the rest of the house. I asked my neighbor who is a descendent of the original owners, who were her grandparents if someone died in the house and she confirmed they did, it was her grandfather and the middle room was his bedroom.

She told me he had been the only justice of the peace for our county for a long time and used to hold "court" on the front porch. That he was not a large man but was a true Southern Gentleman. I feel safer knowing he is around.............she even gave me some of her grandmothers old silverware in the case. I keep it on in my dining room and I think this makes them happy that it is back where it belongs.

I have a couple of them . . . Heres the first one . . .

My aunt and uncle were asleep in there house when they heard a noise down stairs . . . My uncle grabed his gun and told my aunt to stay upstairs with my little cousin . . . He went down stairs and noone was there . . . Once he turned out the lights again to go back to be somthing tapped him on the shoulder . . . But when he turned the lights back on nothing was there.

Second story . . .

Also at my aunt and uncles house . . . They were all sitting in the livingroom watching tv . . . My uncle noticed that there was a man in a brown coat outside his house in their front yard . . . We he walked outside nothing was there


Third story . . .

At my own house (while we were having it renovated) . . . Well to start it of my Dad died in his sleep at home in 2003 . . . We had blue prints on a table (which was pretty much the only thing in the room) they were kept there so they wouldnt get lost . . . Well one day they vanished . . . No one had touched them . . . My mom left the room and said "Jerry (my Dad's name) will you please put them back?" . . . And when she walked back in the room the blue prints were back on the table.

Fourth story . . .

My great aunt died 2 weeks ago . . . Exactly a week after she died the phone at my aunt and uncles started acting up . . . It would say "please check time and date" . . . So my aunt did and this is what the time and date said " 4/11 was the date on it (my great aunts birthday) and the time was 19:34 (its on military time but that's the year my great aunt was born)
