Sprained Ankle

Somebody call the whambulance, because I sure need it.

I was at a gaming show this weekend and my horse got a little too herd bound to my friends horse. As we went our separate ways after exiting the warm up ring, my horse started to get a bit panicky. He did a series of half rears, which is pretty much his default tantrum. I spun him and he calmed down. (Calm before the storm). Next thing I know, I see his front end go up and I come crashing down onto the hard cold ground. I think he did I gigantic crow hop, because it definitely wasn't a rear. I got to my feet and hobble over to my friends, sucked it up and competed for a few more events before sucking up my pride and already paid entry fees, and heading home.

The next morning I went to the doctor and got all checked out. I have a pretty severe sprained ankle, and I have to keep it wrapped and wear an air cast. I've been taking lots of Advil but I still feel like I've been hit by a truck.

That's my little whiney moan for the day, but it's hard not to feel sorry for yourself when your entire ankle is purple and blue!
At least I have the horse forum to keep my company while I mope!
