Well Spring has sprung here but not like in those pictures! Just means the snow is gone and plants & grass are poking their heads out after a long winter's nap. Nothing blooming at all yet.

The snow is melting a little. Hopefully it will mostly be gone next week with temps getting into the 40's. We keep getting hit with snow storms. So all I have to say is...

Humph. I've laughed at you for being freezing from here in sunny Aus, and now...you all get beautiful flowers while it gets colder here (but no snow or anything, just colder.) Not fair!

At least the liquid ambers in our street are turning a glorious rich red with golds and purples...best three weeks of the year and then they all drop off :(

We finally had a touch of spring... bratty mare was enjoying it in the one dry spot she created in her paddock with the round bale lol. Paddocks are still really muddy.

Hay was delivered yesterday, a huge round bale in the back of a 3/4T. Once it left the hard packed driveway and was going into the field, I could hear the ice and snow breaking under the tires. Today, being a tad above freezing, I started breaking thro as I walked toward the fence to play with the horses. Promptly gave up on that idea. Even they don't like the footing as they too are breaking thro.

Nice to see your pics of the beautiful flowers. My crocuses are starting to flower and I'm waiting for my tulips to bloom soon. There's still a fair bit of snow and ice on the horse trails yet. It was super nice today and even got a small touch of sun on my face-oops. Who would have thunk it? It's been a long winter.

These are from last weekend. Spring is so pretty in the desert. Yeah, I'm bragging.
Won't be able to do it much longer though. It's already hitting 90 here.

Woohoo! Temps are suppose to get into the 60's this weekend! Finally getting WAY above freezing instead of just hanging around it.

I took this picture because of the sky, it was a very beautiful spring day. Spring comes early here, I believe this was late February or early March. The grass had just turned green again.
