Strange talents/habbits

I have this thing about my food. It can't be touching when its on my plate. That means if I have corn, mashed potatoes, and steak everything has to be seperated, if a bit of juice has flowed its way over to the potatoes, I wont eat that part of the potatoes with the steak juice.

It got so serious at one point that I would start using two diffrent plates lol. It's not as bad now though, my doctor said it might be a small case of OCD. But I belive everyone has OCD, we all have our routines, and daily things that we just do without thinking, but thats a whole other thread lol.

Does anyone else have any odd talents or habbits?

Used to, nothing could be touching on my plate and I used to eat out of bowls to keep things from touching... now I don't care anymore... Lol...

I'm the only person in my family who can pop their back all the way down...

I'm the only person in my family who can pop my bones continuously... Lol.

I can hyper-extend my elbows (grosses my husband out) and when I make a PB and J sandwich, the jelly has to be spread on top of the peanut butter, not spread on the other piece of bread.

Stella - sweet, timid, elegant, lovely, lively, amazing
Luna - large, unattractive, naughty, adored

I'm pretty diligent hand washer. I usually have to wash my hands if I touch toilet bowl etc. I don't still count that as a neurosis because I'm not so neurotic that my hand washing would interfere my normal life.

Especially when I was younger peeing was the last thing that I had to do before falling sleep. I couldn't sleep but feel like I need to pee if I did something else before trying to sleep (eg. if I woke up and switched lights off). Sometimes I feel something like that nowadays too but when it happens the feeling isn't so strong as it was when I was younger.

When I was a child I had to sleep lights on. Darkness made me feel somehow "asphyxiated". I felt it came so close to me, on my skin. Nowdays I can't sleep properly if lights are on xD.

Hand washing for me is another thing that gets to me, but only if I start really thinking about it lol.

I also cant eat meat if i've thought about how it used to be alive ..

3neighs, If I could do that, I'd be grossing my boyfriend out all the time haha!

I've also a habit that I have to knock something wooden (a wooden furniture, tree etc) if I tell somebody how lucky I've been with something. If I don't do this I get a feeling that my lucky can't stay with me anymore.

Eg. If I tell somebody that I haven't been sick for a long time I have to knock something wooden after I've told it. Otherwise I get a disturbing feeling that I'll caught some nasty bug soon because I've told aloud how lucky I've been but knocking something wooden can save me and prevent my good luck going away.

I know that sounds odd but actually it's pretty common habit over here (maybe a some kind of pagan holdover which have stayed even during all these civilized centuries). I know that in truth there's no impression if I knock something wooden or if I don't. Still if I don't do it I usually caught that disturbing feeling.

I do the food thing too :S even if it's something I'll put together when I eat it, it can't be touching on my plate...

And I do the wood knocking thing too, Tamma. Although I always say 7, 9, 13 when I do it too... It's not that common here, but people know what it means.

My weirdest habit is probably my hate of cotton. I can't touch it, I can't think of touching it, I can't watch other people touching it and if I think about it being squeezed together I get goosebumps.

wait for this one, you will never see me post it again...

When I am really hungry(and by that I mean verge of starvation) I can make this nasty belly sucking sound on command. A "talent" I have been refining for the last 24 years
