Oh, I feel your pain. I've been put in this situation a number of times and its always uncomfortable. I just don't have the same interests as most women. I don't care for shopping (I do most online shopping and when I have to go to a store, I know excatly what I want, because I looked for it online. I'm in and out in 10 minutes tops!). Mani/pedi what's that? Make up, yeah because I'm sure the horse cares about that.

Just try to make the best of it. Just keep similing and try to be as nice as possible. Try to bring up topics that are neutral (ie traveling) Good luck!

Hubby & I took a week off work to camp. We're on private ground owned by a friend. It's a holiday weekend & everybody we know is camping here. Most of the husbands work together or are in similar fields of work. All of the wives (except me) all work in offices or are stay at home moms. All they talk about are clothes, makeup & their little book clubs. I have nothing in common to talk to these women about! When they do ask what I have been doing or where I went for 3 hours that morining & I try to tell them that I went to do barn chores, or talk about training with my donk or how well my son did at lesson that night, before I finish my sentence I get "Oh, that's nice" & they go back to talking about what great clothes sales they're going to.

I am ready to pull my hair out!
Bahahahaaa you poor thing. I love your post. I love your sense of humor. I cannot stand people like that. I work in the funeral service and my husband is a police officer, so you can imagine how conversation killers those are. That is why I make sure that my friends are people who I also work with, or associate with on an equine level. I have more friends than I can count, but it always makes for great trips and get togethers-because we all understand each other.

LOL hope you don't go out camping soon again
