It is freaking cold and windy here! It was in the 60's a few days ago and last night the temperature plummeted and we were hit with a lovely storm of ice shards driven by gusting winds, joys. We have a dusting of snow on the ground now and it is still windy.

Thought 22F not counting wind chills this morning was cold! Up early to feed and put new boards on the paddock fences, with outrageous wind gusts and snow flurries. Live on a mountain with many dead trees so the ponies are staying out of harms way this weekend. Came in a few hours ago to warm up with lunch and hope the winds would die down but they've only gotten stronger. Yucko! Be safe, friends!

I have said what I have said. I have not said what I have not said.

What a bunch of woozes. You guys don't know what cold is. Not often we will get temperatures so cold it seems to suck the air out of your lungs. Five minutes of that and the face begins to sting then it goes numb. We get good at walking backwards if there's even a breeze.

today the snow has eased up here.
Last 24hour- 26cm
Last 48hours- 56cm
Last 7 days..................143cm!
I have just court up on digging out and look at that...ANOTHER snowfall warning coming in, at least it's only 15 - 20cm this time. We really need to hurry up and move.......

Or how about when you walk outside for less then a minute and your nose freezes together. last winter was -50 something for about 2 weeks, you could take a cup of hot water, throw it up in the air outside and it comes down as ice.

It's going to be warmer here, you're welcome to come down. Just bring a shovel.
