Sunday brunch

Alright folks, what are we up to this quiet Sunday morning? For one I didn't get to sleep in and had to drive to work at 6 am..ouch. Working all day but the good news us that there is a decent shift deferential for working the weekend so I won't complain to much. If it's a slow day I'll probably find myself catching on the forum.
Let's wake up!!

It's already 2pm here, and I've started studying for the test tomorrow
I'd better get used to it, I will be spending most of my time for the next 2 weeks studying

Good mornin'!

It's nearly 9:30 here on a raw, rainy day. I've been up since 6 taking care of the animals but Mrs iride and my daughter (who came over for a visit last night and decided to sleep over) are still asleep.

Breakfast sounds really good!!! I usually just have some cereal if no one is coming over but today? Coffee, OJ, and some of my famous banana pancakes for everyone and I'll get a fire going in the family room to warm us up (in the fireplace of course).

... and, as usual, the side door is always open.

Green Broke
We're off to my in-laws for Thanksgiving and birthday celebrations (one daughter's was the 25th, another was yesterday). We're supposed to be getting our first bad snow storm this afternoon so I hope we're able to beat it home. If I'm not back on this evening will someone come dig me out of the snow?

Thanks for the banana pancakes, Bill, I'll eat them in the car!

Good morn! It's 9:30am..I just finished watching the movie Twilight that a fellow forum member posted.

I spend a lot of time reading the forums, but rarely make posts. I love this place

Jen, I'll be over with a shovel if you need it! Happy birthday to your little ones (the children this time, not Stella) (btw, you have a mischievous smile.)

Wonderlust, glad you posted - how did you get the movie?!

MMmmm. Banana pancakes. Sounds good. I hope they are eggless, so I can have some.

Hiding from housework, rainin here too. My pasture is turning into a bog again. Had to break out the wallies to feed.

I would help shovel, but I am supposed to not use my right arm for another 5 weeks. Grrr. I will be healed up in time for the bitter cold. Oh joy.

I mite hafta break down and watch this Twilight, I have heard so many rave about it. I know my oldest would like it, she has a 'thing' for vampires.... What do you do with a 13 year old Goth?

Well, last night I had our latin and ballroom Christmas Ball. It was magical :) We had a professional couple from Stricly Come Dancing (what you guys would know as Dancing with the Stars) doing some amazing demos, and it was so much fun The Christmas Ball is held in the Assembly Rooms.

I got a blister from the boots I wore to walk there because the insoles I'd put in were peeling, but I ignored the pain xD I performed the First and Last Waltzes with the same guy, which provided a nice symmetry to the evening, learnt how to do a Stop and Go in the Jive, and generally danced and enjoyed myself and woohoo :) It's traditional that the male social secretary gives all the girls a single rose when they leave, and this year ours were white. The guys got cookies from the female social sec :)

I bought a new dress for the occasion and it was beautiful :)

There were about 300 of us there, as it's held on the same day as our Winter Competition, so we get loads of outside competitors staying for the ball too. It's always such an amazing evening and this year was no exception. Now we've got the May Ball to look forwards to, which is held in the Pump Rooms.

(Last year's May Ball)

This morning I am tired, my room is a mess, and I have loads of work to do. And lessons/practice tonight xD

Thanks iride...there is a post somewhere called "wanna watch Twilight?"

The poster linked to a streaming vid of the movie. It is a bit muted in color, but I wouldn't go pay $10 to see it in the movie theater, so it was better than nothing!
