Angry Team USA uniforms made in China

.
This kind of cow dung is disgusting

"ABC News reported Wednesday that no part of the Ralph Lauren-designed opening ceremony uniform was made in America."

Harry Reid on Team USA

A few Examples:

Men:
Shirt – $425
Blazer – $795
Trousers – $295

Women:
Skirt – $498
Blazer – $598

The morons of the Olympic Committee are saying no Company could have made those Confirms Cheaper?

HELLO.....???

How much kickback did the Committee pocket personally on this one????

Actually I like the fact that government buys US flags "made in China" much less.... The was an article on that somewhere, but I'm too lazy to search.

Because these uniforms where consigned to a corporation to manufactor, of course they were made some place where the labor is cheap. This is because the corporation hired by your government needs to make a stupidly huge profit and your government is run by corporations, they do what they are told.

I find it even better knowing our government outsources our military weapon manufacturing ... so to know uniforms are made overseas, is just another reason I have no faith in american politcs anymore..purposely not helping there own country :(

The athletes could refuse to wear them, just like the people on this forum could refuse to buy chinese products. Yet how many of you do ? Yep nothing like seeing a parking lot full of foreign cars at the unemployment office.

I try really hard not to!! Only buy it if I can't find something similiar usa made!! The only thing I have foreign made is my car (vw -german car) and maybe one outfit if that. I would rather pay more to keep the business here then pay less and send the money else where.

The Congressman that was publicly decrying this was probably dressed from head to toe in foreign made clothing.
Honestly, this is really making a mountain out of a molehill.

I agree with kait here: if I can find something US-made, yes, I buy it instead of supporting China or Vietnam or whatever. Just not always possible. However in this particular case the prices for those uniforms are quite outrageous, and I don't see how "saving" comes into place.
