Things we tried 2008

I thought it would be fun to review stuff that was new to us in 08. Open to all categories. Mine were:

1) Omega Horseshine: 5 Stars. Great product. I'm already seeing results in his hooves and his mane/tail quality. I think his tail has doubled in thickness. And customer service is great. The bag tore and they sent me a whole bag free of charge.

2) Bitless Bridle: 4 stars. Works good. My horse seems to know all of his regular cues with it on. He also seems to "walk-out" better and travel well. I got the Beta version which smells a little funny.

3) IRobot Dirt Dog: 4 stars. Cleans good. Runs for about 1 1/2 hours on one charge. But you have to leave it plugged in all the time to "preserve" battery life. Mine's speaker went out. Which wasn't a huge problem because customer service replaced it free of charge with free shipping.

4) Netflix: 4 stars. I love the Watch It Now. In fact I cut my cable and don't miss it at all. Ok customer service. I had a problem one time and they said "I needed to clear my cookies and restart." Well durr...anyone who has ever owned a computer before knows to do that before they call technical support.

Anybody got anything new they want to rate?

New to me in 08

Craigslist - 5 stars!- I didn't even know it existed, apparently the rock I was living under didn't have internet. I have bought, sold and traded several things on CL this year and haven't been disappointed yet!!! (sold a car, bought a car, sold horses, traded tack, bought a lamp etc)

2" Memory Foam Mattress topper- 2 stars - I guess you just can't save that dying mattress after all. I may have expected too much from it as far as saving my bed, but I was also disappointed in the topper itself. It wasn't king sized, in fact it was about 5" shy of fitting width wise. It scootches under the bedding...faithfully on fridays, I have to move the darn thing back to the top of the bed. (bought it at wal-mart $116)

Allrecipies.com - 5 stars!!! I have yet to be disappointed with a recipie from there if you read the reviews and choose wisely. ( My butt hasn't gotten any smaller however my tummy has been happy)

My Vet - 10 zillion stars! I know it's off the wall but he was new to us last year and he was fantastic with the horses and saved my heeler pup...KUDOS to them!!!

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

I've sold 3 things on CL so far! It was new to me to! I'm selling all old things we don't use and using the money for a new TV. I'm finally getting a flat screen. I have an old "tube" tv with the rounded screen...poor old TV...he's so ancient. Craigslist: 5 stars!

High 5 for CL!!! I should round up some old junk and sell it off on there...I could use a new TV too.
