Yes, this is normal. It can itch up to 2-3 weeks sometimes too. I would just put some cortisone cream on it or another anti-itch cream. Monitor it and make sure it doesn't get worse looking. If it starts to look like a bullseye (with a ring around the bite) then definitely go to a doctor. That is an indication that the tick that bit you had Lyme's Disease. Other than that, just take care of it like you would any bug bite and try not to scratch. Also, its important that when you pull a tick off that you get the head too. If it stays imbedded in your skin it will cause an infection. Most of the time when you pull them off the whole thing comes with it, but sometimes it will stay on. (Gross, I know.) To prevent ticks in the future, regular bug spray like OFF! works. Just be sure to put it on before you go outside. :) Hope that helps.
