Unhappy Totaled my new car, two day hospital stay

Well looks like I will starting to car shop again!
Monday morning I wound up at Harbor-view hospital, in the the ER.

I was driving to work, to feed horses at a local barn I live near by and was coming from my boyfriends house. It had rained the night before and morning after at least 2 weeks of it being dry left the roads slick as snot and sure enough I came around a corner going to fast for the conditions and my car immediately spun crazy out of control and wound up face first into a free....well hood of my car into the tree but hit it so hard that my car actually bounced 4 - 5 feet off the tree facing the opposite way I had been coming on the road.

I have a few pictures but they are being slow to load to post on here

I am very very lucky with getting out of this is accident with the minor injuries I did. I was taken to the hospital via ambulance and wound up staying overnight due to the seat belt damaging my abdomen and was really drugged up for the day and night, I don't even remember being moved to my room.

My boyfriend came to the scene of the accident both him and my mom fallowed me to the ER and stayed with me, boyfriend had to leave to go to work at the end of the day since there wasn't much he could do.

I had a full blown panic attack after X-rays of my back because the board the used hit a part of it that really hurt. I had never had a panic attack till the and that itself was so scary!! My arms up to my elbows where painfully tingly and locked up in all sorts of ways.

I have a chiro apt on Thursday and will see what the real damage is to my back and neck. I'm looking forward to knowing but part of me is worried. I am in a lot of pain.

Speaking of pain my pain meds just kicked in so I'm going to stop typing noe

Oh wow! Take care! Hope your back is ok!

On a funny note, you are quite lucid for a hospital patient on the forum, I've seen some real gibberish from people posting from their hospital beds on here!!!

    Hang in there!

    Glad you're ok!

It's the week for accidents, I tell ya. I was in one yesterday. I T-boned a Jeep Grand Cherokee going 30mph on a wet, rainy road. Luckily, the other driver was completely at fault because she pulled out right in front of me. I'm also lucky that my car is an absolute tank (yay for 1983 Ford Thunderbirds!) and came away with mostly cosmetic damage...aside from the frame being tweaked about 1/2 inch. I impacted right on the driver's front tire of the Jeep and bent her axle (and possibly bent her frame). I was able to drive away from an accident that would have totaled a newer car and sent me to the hospital. I am extremely sore and need to get my back and left hip checked out, but other than that, I'm fine.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery!

    Wow, lucky for sure!!
Yeah I'm sitting here in a whole lot of pain with my bak :(

Thank god I was the only one on the road I would have taken out who ever was coming around the corner or behind me or any people jogging
I would have had my puppy with me too if I hadn't of been with my boyfriend that night and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have made it....made me snuggle with him a little more tonight for sure!

Oh snap! Yeah, mine probably would have looked similar to that had it been newer.

OUCH, hope you recover quickly, keep taking the pills, and that your Chiro can help straighten you up.

    Thanks
Day 1 of being home and I can hardly walk
Totally bed ridden for today at least
    Frozen veggies and pain killers
My puppy is cuddled up to me right now and so is my cat.
My best friend is coming by soon to give me some sore no more for my back and neck.
My knee is really really hurting today along with my stomach muscles
Feels like someone took a rough saw blade and worked on me for hours.
My car just got towed to my trainers house since we have no room here at my house and I just got a dr apt with a back and neck person for tomorrow at 2pm
Ugh today is going to be long
