Well I slept most of the day while my my wife worked in the am at one job and in the pm at another. Ok, that doesn't sound good so I'll explain. It wasn't very pleasure able as you might think.

My wife works at a plastic surgery place and the doctors were offering me to do a hair transplant for them to get experience. During most of the procedure I slept. Not much else you can do and keep your head still.

Since neither of us like going out on nights like that and I wasn't in very good shape last night, I'm going to make a nice supper for us tonight.

I didn't get anything from anyone - not even my parent's, lol!

So at lunch at school today I bought myself a mountain dew and followed people, haha!!

I bought my horse a red halter bridle. Lollllllll us single people. :) Then I sat on him in the pasture and we had a romantic nap. It got awkward when the mailman went by...

I got pink roses, a necklace and earrings from Brighton, a bra from VS, and a nice dinner. Bra shopping might have been the highlight of my night. There were SO many men in there with their significant others looking awkward and like they would have rather been ANYWHERE else. My husband heard another man complaining to his wife "No matter where I look I'm looking at a bra". He felt the same way, so he waited outside after about 5 min.

Ugh I hate taking my guy into VS! I took him in before Christmas to show him the yoga pants I wanted and ended up with yoga pants and a bra/panty set I would've never chosen for myself lol. I'm the awkward one when he go, he is phased by nothing!

Speaking of....he decided to treat us both to a mani/pedi because I don't get them often enough and he's never had one but had always been curious. What better time of the year to be a guy in a nail salon? Everyone knows you've got a GF and you win points for the getting the bill! So my present was a mani/pedi and watching him trying to look manly while his feet were being tickled lol.

I picked up copious amounts of sushi on the way home last night and we ate it in our PJs while watching South Park, he said it was the best VDay ever. We're not into fighting crowds and having bad service because of it so we stayed home, our favorite thing to do anyways. We're very good about spontaneous meaningful experiences together year round so VDay is just a day we can count on being a day for something fun. Oddly enough we rather share a good time together then presents, not that those are bad once in awhile!

When I was shopping for DH's card on the 13th, an elderly gentleman kept looking at me. I thought, hmm. So I went to the other side of the isle. There were no valentine's cards on the other side, so I went back. He was STILL looking at me. I thought, well, good thing I can just look at cards and pretend I don't see him. Poor fellow, he finally walked up to me and asked if the card he was looking at would be for a wife. I read it and said, "yes", he said "thanks" and walked off, card in hand. Is it that hard? Maybe last year he picked a card at random and it was for a girlfriend. :)

I loathe buying cards, for anything. I don't know why, I just hate it. I never give birthday cards unless I'm giving money and then I only sign my name, I don't have anything to ad. Cards for my husband are a different story though. He expects one, and he knows I'm terrible at voicing my feelings, which is why I think he loves making me get him a card, because then I have to write more than just my name. I manage, but only after looking at every single card there is, because if it says anything that I don't think is true of our relationship I put it back. Like "I love the unconditional support that you give" WRONG! Put it back.

Haha, whisper, I hear you. I wonder who writes some of those cards! I mean, some of the valentine's cards have two or three paragraphs of "stuff". It makes it just a little too "serious". You know, the "Oh my Dear, who knows where I would be without you, gosh, it is just to scary to even consider, so I am so glad I met you, otherwise, who knows what horrible end might have awaited me". That kind? Yeah, no, just - no.

Oh dear! I am so not romantic. Don and I decided to use one of our GC's and go out to eat and then do some price shopping for our kitchen redo. No cards, flowers, chocolates or gifts for him or me. But, I've never really been big on Vday.

We do little things for each other all year, and I prefer that to the whole being forced with Vday. But, like I said, I'm not real romantic.
