Default Venting once again

We've had a really cruddy autumn. My little girlie has had pneumonia already. She's had lymphadentis (swollen, infected lymph nodes). Now, she has a goiter. She's got multiple nodules on her thyroid. So far hormone levels are OK but, geeze! They want to run antibody test this week when they do follow up chest Xray. I'm going to ask them to do additional thyroid hormone levels (they did TSH and free T4). Unless there's an obvious answer with the antibody test we may well have bought a biopsy for our kiddo. She's just barely into the double digits.

OK, I need to stop ranting and go to bed! She has tests scheduled for Thursday, so, for those inclined to pray, please keep Katie in your prayers, especially Thursday.

Not saying this isn't serious but it is more frequent ( hypo/hyperthyroidism) than you think. I had to have my thyroid looked after when I was in my early teens. With medication ( unfortunately mandatory for the rest of your life) you can live a normal life.

Spyder, it's probably not a big deal. I laughed when the office nurse told me. I told her I need another problem like I need another hole in my head. She takes plenty of meds already anyway. Just another thing.

It could be so much worse. Sometimes I just need to vent/scream and then go back to living.
