-sigh- Just to throw it out there, so I don't end up blowing up at my bosses this weekend.
All of the closing shifts at my work are scheduled until 5:15, we close at 5:00 so there's the 15 minutes to count all the cash, write deposit slips, fill out closing / float charts, lock the gates and close the doors. They don't schedule me to work during the week, which is fine, more time to study, but I close every Saturday and my bosses seem to think that because it's slower on Saturdays I don't need the extra 15 minutes after we close to do all of the above DESPITE the fact that it takes just as long.
Which would be fine and dandy EXCEPT I'm not allowed to close earlier than 4:00 (closing time on Saturday) which means I have
to stay the extra 15 minutes to do
all of the above or risk having to turn people away / getting in trouble.
I figured despite not being scheduled the extra 15 minutes by clocking out when I actually leave they'd include it... a naive assumption I guess, because I checked my paychecks and they haven't been. -sigh-
It shouldn't be a big deal... but 15 minutes a week adds up at the end of the month and my time IS worth just as much money as everyone elses so I'm QUITE frustrated. On top of that I had been given a raise a couple months ago and without warning they took it away. Okay I can deal with that... they're pressed for money, but I've been there for three years, a bit of an explanation might be nice!?
