WARNING... ATM machines may bite!!!!

So yesterday I went into one of the local grocery stores to deposit a couple of checks into the ATM. I wrote out my deposit slip- through everything in the envelope, typed everything into the ATM and then it allowed me to stick the envelope in.

It dragged the deposit into the machine but it still kept beeping at me. I look around and no one was looking and squatted down to see what the deal was. Here my envelope was about an inch or two in but jammed. "BEEP BEEP BEEP"... I’m getting a little worked up because it won’t stop beeping and my checks are in there!!!! I quickly stick my fingers into the little slot to try to push it in further but I can't reach. By now a couple of people have stopped to look (cause it is still beeping and I nearly have my hand in the ATM) so I go to pull my fingers out and they are stuck at the knuckles .

I see an employee coming my way so I just pull my hand as hard as I can (which really hurt) but I get my fingers out. I explain what was going on and we end up cancelling the transaction and then re-doing it and use a blank envelope to push it in. At this point Im super embarrassed and on my way out of the stores I realize that I’m bleeding. When I pulled my hand out of the ATM the skin on 3 of my knuckles was scrapped off

My BF who had been waiting in the truck commented on me taking so long and I showed him my hand and said "Im not going to be allowed back in there again"...lol. I can only see me on the security camera with the "oh crap my hand is stuck" look.

I did look into my online banking and it atleast shows my deposit- I don't think I like ATMs anymore!!!!

Had to laugh, hehe. At least you got your hand out and they didn't have to call the Firies with the jaws-of-life to come save you, now that would be embarrassing!

Who would be stupid enough to get their hand stuck lol.

Ya thankfully I got my fingers out before other measures were needed but I do have little scabs on each finger...lol.

Ouch . Sorry, shouldn't laugh, I believe it hurt...

So now I know I won't put my fingers into an ATM if something like that happens to me some day...
