I love snow because I've only seen it once in my life, when I went to Switzerland, and it wasn't even falling from the sky at the time, just on top of a mountain. Now you snow haters are going to attack me

But yesterday, we got hail! Coming into summer! What is it with this wierd weather?

And pictures:

This was the Yellowstone River earlier, as you can see the storm has us so souped in that you can't even see the mountains.

Took this one earlier too, it was snowing but not sticking. Guess our 3 days of fall was fun while it lasted.

I'm sitting just a bit south of you Nick, waiting for this rain to change to snow. Nice to have the warning we did on this one. Got hay moved down to a lower corral yesterday. Tank heater is ready if it gets as cold as expected.

Kind of figure with as well prepared as I am we won't get much, but we're supposed to get 8 to 12 inches. Then it will warm up again.

Nice pictures. Around here, snow is white.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

Love snow up here!! We get it very often in October, and our winters can last 7 months - the horses have always lived here, and are fully adapted. No one's surprised, the wood is stacked, and hay supply in order. We're ready, and can't wait for those long winter treks, my homemade soups and bread baking for supper - then snowy nights spent with the horses as they enjoy warmed apples..... :)
