Why do they want you to rush to a wedding? are they worried that your engagement won't last, so best to tie the knot and make it more difficult to dissolve?

his mom is just excited about a wedding and her little boy getting married, lol my mom thinks it is smarter to wait so we are not as stressed out. My fiance...he just thinks it will be super easy to plan a wedding and thinks it will all be just fine and dandy. And he has baby fever really bad. I do too, but that is not a reason to throw a wedding together. I talked to them today, his mom didn't seem to mind. Tim on the other hand keeps making little jokes about me not wanting to get married. I'm sure he'll get over it when he sees how much work a wedding really is
