Weird experience with caffeinated drink!?

Ew. This really freaked me out.

Today I went to get a bagel with cream cheese and a large iced cappucino for breakfast... I've gotten this a lot. It was one of my favorite breakfasts.

I drank the iced cappucino on my way to the barn, and I noticed I kind of felt a little bit sickened by it.. for some reason. I don't even know. It just felt like maybe a little too much liquid at one time. But I drank it anyway. It tasted good, ya know?

I got to the barn, went to get my horse, brought her in...

I bent down to pick her hooves. I felt it then. Something was wrong, but what? Was it the heat? I usually do things in the heat, nothing out of the ordinary. I've worn thick jeans to the barn before, I was wearing (still am actually) a thin tank top, spaghetti straps, and I wasn't wearing anything on my head. Strange stuff.

I sat down, I felt miserable. I felt like I was about to pass out. I went and relaxed in the air conditioning on the sofa. My heart was beating so fast and so strongly that my stomach was literally beating up and down with every heartbeat. I could actually SEE it. I felt like I was about to throw up, like I was about to pass out... all from an iced cappucino!? Well, I'm intimidated by caffeinated drinks now. I'm scared to drink it again. It was one of the worst experiences, I'm glad I just relaxed and prayed and I'm glad I feel better now.

Has anyone else had any freaky experiences with caffeine, or a certain meal or drink or something, at the barn!?

I hated this. And I hope that this doesn't happen to you because I wouldn't wish for anyone to feel like I felt.

I'm better now. Drank some water, watched someone else ride, kicked my chaps, boots, and socks off and rolled up mah jeans, put a cool rag on my head. I'm glad I wasn't freaking out to the max.

Such a random thing to share. But I don't know. Just curiously.

^^ Hahahah well if you love a good ol' cup of joe, that's fine with me. As long as your well-being is not in danger, I am happy! One of my friends drinks two cups every morning and loves it. While the habit is not mine, it makes her happy and if she asked me for a cup of coffee I'd give it to her!

I couldn't have caffeine for seven years. It was the weirdest thing - I had been anorexic all through high school, at the worst point I would eat a very small plate of unseasoned vegetables and drink about a pot of coffee (no milk or sugar) in a day. VERY unhealthy!!! The caffeine gave me the energy kick I needed. After I realized I was insane (and started eating again) I noticed that coffee was making me sick. So I cut out coffee. Then I noticed that tea and chocolate were making me sick. So I cut those out as well. It got to the point that I was so sensitive, even 'decaffeinated' teas and a single chocolate chip would make me feel absolutely miserable.

Then, randomly, one day I was CRAVING chocolate. I hadn't eaten any in years so I was a little confused. I had read somewhere that the cells in most of your organs turnover every seven years, and it was oddly enough almost exactly seven years later, so I thought I'd give it a try. The chocolate didn't bother me so I got a great big Starbuck's coffee, just to see what happened. I was fine!

Now I can drink as much coffee and eat as much chocolate as I want. WEIRD, eh? I generally play it pretty safe, because I really don't want that to happen again, but it's nice to be able to have coffee and chocolate again!
