Unhappy Well Wishes are needed for my nephew...

Yesterday my nephew, Tiffanny's (FehrGroundRanch) son, was in the horse pasture with his mom getting ready for a new horse when he tried to climb a metal gate that wasn't attached to the posts. It fell over and landed on top of him, knocking him out.
He was air lifted to the Children's Hospital in Calgary where they did a whole lot of tests - MRI's and CAT scans. He was doing okay, but they noticed he was still bleeding from the brain today. He goes in for more scans tomorrow and if it hasn't clotted by then, they'll do surgery.
This kid means the world to me and everyone is pretty wrecked over it. The general prognosis is good but it's scary.
He hates being in the hospital and he isn't really enjoying himself right now... He still has trouble walking around (it causes pain in his head) and keeping food down. Normally he's a rambunctious little dude and he's quiet and sullen right now it's so hard to see. He'll be four in July.
Please send your good thoughts or wishes.... Any and all would be appreciated.

That's is just terrible! I know the woes of having a little one in the hospital. My brother has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and we are going to chicago monday to find out what the options are. He is twelve and has spent half of his toddler years in the hospital, br it form asthma or heart surgery. I will keep your nephew in my thoughts!

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I'd want to go through the computer screen and hug GR, Tiff, you all! That has to be a real nightmare .

Really crossing my fingers for him. I'm glad to hear the prognosis is good since bleeding in brain doesn't sound good at all. I guess (after reading your start of the topic) that he's still doing anyhow ok, is awake etc.?

Good to also hear he's at hospital in good hands now. I'm all sure he'll be okay, little kids are stronger than we actually can believe!

My thoughts are certainly with him and your family.

It has been a nightmare that's for sure. Tiff will be on when she can to update, but I will step in for a moment in her absence:
GR was able to get out of his room today and go for a wheelchair ride - this is extremely good as just yesterday he got nauseated whenever he moved his head.
Tiff will be on to update when she is able - I think she has her laptop in the hospital now :)

Just horrible! I'll be keeping this little guy in my thoughts and prayers as well as his family. Just so sad. Sounds like he is a strong willed little guy, and that will be in his favor.

:( Poor GR. Sending prayers that way.

Another update: GR is Allowed to eat now!! He's smiling and laughing - I bet we're over the hump!

It's awesome to hear that the situation is turning better!

GR is doing much better! He's got one more scan scheduled for tomorrow to make sure that the bleeding stopped and if it's clear, he'll more than likely be released tomorrow. He keeps on asking to go home so I think he's more than ready to get out of here.
Tiff is a bunch more relaxed now that it seems things are on the mend.
Thanks for all the wishes everyone! :)
