I stumbled across this site while researching for any information about my mare's (now deceased) health issue.

What I found was some information, but greater than that was the support, entertainment, education and a place to go where my dedication and passion wasn't looked at as a "thing" I was going through! LOL!

While I haven't been here for a while, I know I can pop in when time allows and still find all those same things that I did the first time I stumbled in here.

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, "Oh crap, she's up!".

Gosh, it was a while ago. I was having trouble identifying my Paso's gaits, I believe.

I had a question about riding on the road and thoughtless drivers. I searched for an answer online and stumbled along this site and thought "what the heck, someone might know." I was hooked from then on.

I probably would have selected all the options in the poll if I could.

I always have questions about things regarding horses.

And I always try to help others who have questions that I may know how to answer.

And it's nice to have a place to share horsey things (stories, photos, accomplishments, bad days, etc) because horsey people understand horsey people.

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.

I came here b/c I enjoy training and caring for my horses very much and have no family members handy that share my level of enthusiasm or knowledge, however much that might be. So, I thought it would be nice to converse w people w the same interest!
It's been enjoyable.
Lockwood likes this.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

I am here because I didn't get a chance to grow up around horses and I have a million questions.

I am so thankful for all the helpful people on here. I love reading the thoughtful critiques. It definitely helps me.

I was directed here by someone who pointed out a person claiming their horse was an Ardennes and was going to start breeding him. I made an account to comment and then I came back some time later.
