    Sounds like something I would do. 'Accidentally' punch a desk. I've accidentally punched walls, doors, furniture, myself in the face... hope your hand gets better!

    My money says broken bone....
    Been there, done that....prefer to avoid doing it again...
    Broke my wrist and my pinky knuckle playing ice hockey....two separate incidents years apart.
    Also broke 3 fingers on separate occasions wrestling and playing lacrosse.
    Hmmmm.....maybe I had something of a violently athletic youth.......
    Anytime I broke a finger or knuckle, they taped it up, gave me motrin or the equivalent, said keep it elevated to help with the throbbing, and come back in 6 weeks.
