Stupid people in general.
I worked as a rental car agent for almost five years. I lost all faith in humanity or in intelligent life on this planet in that time. The stupid questions people asked, the demands they made...let's just say that my 7yo asks more intelligent, coherent questions than the majority of the people I dealt with. I have also never been treated as poorly by customers as I was when I was a rental car agent. Next time you rent a car and go to yell at the rental car agent, remember this: they have the power to put you in the crappiest car on the lot, and do it with a smile, so you'd better be nice!
Now, working for a thrift store, I've lost whatever tiny bit of faith I had in intelligent life on Earth and in humanity. I have never met so many people who conveniently ignore the policies of our company regarding returns which are posted in THREE places in our store, plus are listed on the bottom of their receipt, then get angry at us when we refuse to do their return because they don't meet the requirements for return (tag still attached to merchandise and receipt present within 14 days of purchase and we don't do returns on our new merchandise, like mattresses or a lot of our Halloween goods) or because we won't give them their cash back (return policy clearly states that only store credit is given on returns). I also hate that when I have JUST done an announcement over the PA, reminding customers of our sales that day (in a clear voice...I've been told by a lot of people I should be in radio with my voice), and I have ten customers come up and ask me what the color tag on sale is today. Really?! You can't read the HUGE sign telling you what color tag is on sale that is the first thing you see when you walk in? Or look at the balloons that we put up every morning that are the same color as the tag that is on sale? Or even listen to the freaking ANNOUNCEMENT I just made to tell you what the color tag is?!?! GAH!!!
Do not tell me I can't...because I will show
you that I can.
