I bought my daughter a cell when she was 8, only b/c she then attended school that was a pretty far distance from home. It was a matter of "safety" and reassurance. Little did I know it would become an extension of her arm and continuousely change into "the next greatest".
I understand the need for a cell for kids today, they might melt on the spot if they can't text each other or watch youtube. And, as a parent, I want and will pay to have "24/7 communication and location". And, I "get it" for "doing business". HOWeVer, when I go out in town and see and hear people using them....I always think..."seriousely?". I am willing to wager that if you removed the random meaningless babble from cell phone use, there would be near silence and idle hands - coast to coast.
Now, the included cameras..those are handy!!!
