Smile What Are You Thankful For?

It seems as though Thanksgiving is fast becoming one of the forgotten holidays as it happens to be the holiday right before Christmas. Indeed, Christmas is a lot of people’s favorite holiday, but I think it’s important to remember the warm feeling we get when we all gather with our families and give thanks for the things we have in our lives.

On that note, I’d like to know what YOU are thankful for this year! May it be an event (big or small), close family or friends, a trying time in your life etc…..

Depends on the day! Sometimes (like this morning) I was very thankful for the beautiful sunrise.

I am thankful for my close family; to have such a good bff who helps me out; all our animals, and Lilly of course; to have met such wonderful people in our boarder and her friends; and a buttload of other things.

I pray at least once a day. I am thankful for the improving health of my mare, my sister's cat and my boyfriend.

My sister's cat got attacked by our dog, and almost died. About a month ago. He's doing alot better, eating on his own now. Im grateful he's still with us.

My horse has navicular, she's looking alot more comfortable lately. Im greatful for that.

My boyfriend has had neck and back pain forever, almost unbearable at times. He's getting alot better now. When he's in pain it hurts me too. He's only 26 but I feel like he's got the pains of an 80 year old man at times. Im greatful for everyday he's feeling better.

I am thankful for my family. The fact that we are with our horses again after 6 years of boarding them. My dog and cat. Above all this my boys and my husband. They are the best things in my life. I also pray at least 1 a day and I am beginning to teach the boys how to pray as well. This morning when I got up just to look outside at the hill and see the four horses in the back means the world to me. The stallion and PT are down in the other pasture together and to look out and see them running around and having fun makes my day very grateful that I have everything that means the world to me. I think the best thing that is going to happen this year is having Thanksgiving and Christmas in our own place for a change.

Okay. Can I still participate even we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here? I think this is a great idea and it'd be good if people stopped to think things like these more than many of us do now (me included).

    So, I'm thankful for:

*My awesome family. I'm really thankful for my parents who always support me every way and have let me to stay with them while trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

*My wonderful friends and some of my relatives with who I can band together and who I can always rely/lean on.

*My health. I've been worried of some health issues during the ongoing year and came from a bad phobia toward a normal life. I think things are pretty ok at the moment and I'm happy that I'm all right/I don't have any bad ailment/disease.

*My country. I'm happy that I live in developed, steady country which has high social security.

    Great posts everyone!

Tamma, of course you can participate. In all honesty, we should be giving thanks every day of the year ... A lot of people forget that, myself included.
