    What's for dinner?

Not sure if this belongs here but, I need help deciding what to make for dinner tonight. One of my boyfriend's friend is coming over tonight for his birthday (it's not a party, just a little get together of ~4) and I wanted to make something a bit more special than Hamburger Helper lol. Problem is I'm not a fantastic cook (I can accomplish pretty much anything I try, but I haven't been cooking for very long) and I literally have no counter space in my tiny apartment, very limited pots, pans and baking dishes. So I need something simple but tastey.

    Your task:

Tell me what to make for dinner, could be something as simple as what you'd want for dinner tonight or are craving, or some secret family specialty dish (complete with ingredients and instructions would be nice )

Oh and sorry but, no steak....my boyfriend hates it...he's a strange man, I know.

I'm making chicken on the grill and baked beans. Cheap and delicious. Though I don't know that you can grill at your apartment.
