what's your typing speed?

This website is pretty cool, if you've ever wondered how fast you type. It's not the most accurate calculator in the world for your top speed, because it takes an average and you have to read at the same time, but it's pretty good.

free online touch typing speed test - wpm words per minute

My best speed is 83 words per minute with 100% accuracy - I'm actually faster but I often go back and correct myself as I type so my accuracy is less and my speed is more but effectively it's how productive I am. 83wpm is a far cry from what I used to be like before I learned to touch-type! I think I can probably get up to about 90 but it would be difficult and my accuracy would drop a lot. Compared to how it used to be, a pretty dismal 10wpm... it really is amazing how fast you can learn to type if you put your mind to it.

37wpm.

I'm usually faster, tests like that made me nervous so I do more mistakes and need more time. On the other hand, there were also a lot of odd words for me, since I don't talk English as my 1st language. Plus in English you use more some letters which aren't that common in my native language so buttons are harder to find... especially when I need to read what I have to write all time.

75 wpm is what it told me when I did it w/out worrying about the errors. (I had 13) when I went back and fixed typos as I went and had someone talking to me... I had 58 wpm.

86 wpm, correcting myself as I went....

With a cracked bone in my hand- leaving two fingers unusable XD

Everyone calls me the speed demon of typing in school. And the pathetic thing is that being on forums like this are what caused me to be so good... heh.

Fun, haven't done one of those in ages. I got 109 w/2 mistakes. I can still break 100 :) I used to do a lot of data entry w/my work before I went back to horses. I'm even faster with 10 key/number data.

I was up to ~120 or so last time I checked a few years ago with very few typos. I can't do that with thinking about what I'm writing though, only with either reading it or typing what someone tells me to. It's probably about the same now, but I haven't had much of a care about it lately, no reason to.
I might have to check it out sometime soon though, because now I'm interested. :p
