Well, I come from a small island in the Gulf of Mexico, off the SW coast of FL. But now I'm in middle TN. I love the mountains in the SE US, and we're looking for some land to build a little cabin, but we're also looking to buy property on an island in the northern most coastal area of Maine for our primary residence once the kids have all moved out and I've retired. Then we'd spend the winters in the mountains and the rest of the year on the Maine coast.

I like it when people put their location in their profile. Makes it much easier to understand weather comments, different terms, etc.

I'm from North Eastern Ontario, Canada. About 5 hours north of Toronto.
