Who here listen to Satelite Radio?

I am posting this thread in here because I know I'll get more traffic than in the music section.
I never really cared about satellite radio and to be honest I never really knew what it was until I bought a new truck this summer which had it installed. I absolutely LOVE it.

Do we have any satellite radio listeners in here? when do you typically used it?

My dad's '04 Avalanche has it, and I love it! Usually listen to the family comedy station or The Message. Whatever sounds good at the time.

Where I am in the south, there are few options for the type of music/talk shows that I like so I bought one 3 years ago. Since then I had to get one for my wife and last year for my daughter.

I like 50's, 60's, 70's, The Blend, Frank Sinatra, Fox news, CNN, and the comedy channel as well as others.

I like it also because I can travel anywhere and not have to look for another station when I leave an area.

I'm addicted to it!

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

I don't have it in my car, but my Dish Network has it, so I listen to it via my TV a lot (esp when I'm sleeping, I like music on when I sleep). I really like one of the channels. But I doubt I'll get it for my vehicles. I like to listen to CDs in the car.

I love it for road travel. It really makes the time go by faster to have good talk radio.

It's funny how technology advances and old habits such as an old radio station you might listened to for years, now loses its spot with something like Satelite radio. There are some really good stations(including Radio Disney *cough*). A channel for every mood.

Let's hear who else listens to it.

We have it in our new car. It came with a 3 month free trial and i renewed the subscription for my husbands Xmas present.
I love the "coffeehouse" on Serious. Its all acoustic which I love.
I had a long 3 hour drive recently and listened to the comic channels all the way there and home. It made the time go fast and I never lost a signal like you would on a normal cross country drive.

I got a deal on a free radio and three free months of Sirius service a long time ago, and have never looked back. I love it! I am stuck in the 80's a bit and love 80's alternative and dance, 70's and 80's rock and pop and different kinds of music from the 90's and now. I mostly listen to 1st Wave and Classic Rewind. I used to LOVE to listen to the smooth jazz channel (71, I think), but when Sirius and XM merged it changed too much for my enjoyment. :(

It's GREAT while traveling.

You can find deals on it from time to time at FatWallet.com. Just check the hot deals forum and search "Sirius" or "XM".

You know I just realized something pretty neat. Regardless of what area we are all in on this continent, it's something we can all say we listen to and know what we are talking about.

Kind of neat, we can listen to the same radio.
