Wisdom Teeth Removal

I had all 4 wisdom teeth out last Friday (the 6th) and believe I have come along quite well... better than I thought I would at least. Bleeding stopped after about 2 hours, stopped taking pain meds after 2 days, and I finally started eating more solid (ie not jello haha) food. However, my bite is veryyy off! The only teeth that touch are my back ones in one place. It is reallyy annoying and I realize it hasn't even been a week since they were removed, but has this happened to anyone else? How long til my bite is normal, or will I need more dental work now?

I can't tell you anything about why your bite is off and if you will need something done to fix it, but I must say, be VERY glad you were off your pain meds after 2 days and eating solids! I was on the pain meds for over a week, I was in so much pain after having all 4 removed. Hopefuly you won't need anymore work done. But i would probably just wait it out to see if your bite is still off after your mouth completely heals from the wisdom teeth being removed.

I am scared to get mine done because my brother fainted as my other friend fainted and I can't afford to miss one day with my horse Sky :/

But I'm guessing that since they are out, your mouth will slowly change now that there is new space for growth.

Wow! I had wisdom teeth removed I didn't even have to take any pain drugs. 2 mins to pull the tooth off + 3 mins to stitch it there, can eat in hour or so.

As for feeling strange you'll get used to it. For some people just take longer. :)

You wonder woman you!!!!

I think I want to wait a few more months.. just till I'm in NZ and settled and whatnot so it won't affect anything much. My first time drawing blood experience.. was horrid because I wouldn't bleed.. lol.. so I'm paranoid about what this experience will be like.

My wisdom teeth were removed about a month ago and I started to notice that my teeth were feeling loose the next day. By the time my bite was 'off' like you are describing, I was really worried that my teeth wouldn't go back into place. I wore my retainer day and night for a week after that and everything went back to normal.

From what I could gather from years of being prodded by orthodontists, if new space is created in your mouth, the other teeth have a tendency to move into that space. That's what I assumed was going on, but don't take my word for it! You could always call the surgeon and as for his/her oppinion. :)
