I guess it's the premeditated part that got her. I don't know, this is where the system fails... but you know, John Bobbit got really rich off of his wifes actions...

she should have never admitted to RESEARCHING the bobbit case.
it is a wonder the judge didn't set aside the jurys verdict which he
could legally do.
But I hope she gets the help she needs.

I don't believe taking the law in her own hands and cutting his penis off was the right thing to do. Even that what he did is totally horrible and unforgivable. Hope this woman will get help that she needs, I think the prison isn't the right place for her (how long you can invade the person the worst way and wait her to stand with it? Even I still think what she did isn't right).

I still hope this case arouses some attention around punishments of sexual criminals.

We would need more effective punishment for sexual criminals. Over here, three American football players raped two girls under 20 recently. One the held girls when the two others did what they did. And what was the punishment? A probation that takes a year and 8 months and those two who raped the girls got some penalties beside that (around 4 500 euros per man).

They went back to the USA and I'm sure they laugh at the "punishment" they got here. Really, you get nothing about a crime like that here.

I couldn't agree more. I have my share of stories of things I went thru growing up(and believe me, on a different level, it's as bad what she went thru). Seeking revenge unfortunately is not the way to go. With the proper care and support group, with the right hand you can heal some scars. After that it's a matter of being with someone sensitive and caring to help you heal from those loose ends.

My thoughts will be with her.

That is horrible Tamma. I cant image what those girls feel.
I am a strong defender of children. No one else was doing anything. Even if she had gone to the authorities. They just slap them on the hands and send them back into society. It is a known fact that they go right back. If not in the US they go to third world countries. It infuriates me. If someone did that to my daughter I would be looking for blood. An eye for an eye.

If she would have gotten a better lawyer she could have gotten away with it.

Absolutely. The other issue tho, is that one knows its actually going on. Unfortunately the atrocious things some of these people will do, are a lot of the time, never brought up-why? because those that are affected either don't have access to help, or know that if they are caught reaching out for help, the price they will pay is ultimately even greater than than the abuse they normally go thru.
