Agreed. It happens way to often...it's like people like to lose money hiring a lawyer and what-not to cause problems for others.

Sounds a lot like the people who have tried sueing McDonalds for making them fat in the past. Yes, at least 10 people have tried, all to no avail. Wonder why.....

Yes, it always bugs me that they will find something to sue a person with.

Here's the thing, though, a lot of times these suits - though groundless as the day is long - are settled and they do walk away with some $$$ in their pockets because it is easier for the ones being sued to settle and pay a little than to deal with fighting it (and the publicity that can come with that fight). This is why there are lawyers who will actually PURSUE cases like this and help to make a case out of nothing. Just watch the tv for an hour or so and count the number of commercials you can see for various law offices advertising for cases built off of situations that they can spin into a lawsuit.

Gee.... guess I'll go sue Google too. Looked up directions to a tack shop 1 city over yesterday and Google's directions landed me in a parking lot (apparently years ago a road was there, now its a closed off parking lot).

I found the tack shop but ended up being quite late for my lesson. Surely my lateness is Google's fault, right!?
