:) Good for standing up for yourself! But do remember that everyone's just started at uni/college, and everyone will be going crazy and celebrating the first few weeks. It will die down :)

Living away from your parents can be scary, but once you get used to doing everything for yourself the freedom is great.

Oh, I remember my drunken flatmates arriving home ^^ I'd be dozing off around 2am, and then they'd come singing into the flat xD Or race up and down playing with everyone's umbrellas, which we left in the corridor. They'd disappear in a while, but it was usually quite funny listening xD And if they did disturb my sleep they always apologised for it the next day. I had great flatmates, although my next door neighbour, Chen Yu, never socialised with us. We only knew he was alive because I could hear him singing in Chinese at 3am.

I remember those days! I definitely think things get much much better as the year goes on! The first couple of weeks are kind of rough because people are really excited about finally being in college and it takes a while for roommates to figure out what's acceptable to everyone and what's not (and whether or not they care...). I had a kind of lonely 2 first weeks of college because I also don't drink and I went to a HUGE college halfway across the country where I didn't know a single person. But I found some really really fun people who were crazy and did fun stuff without drinking and they are still some of my best friends! Just to respond to another thread you started... you DO NOT have to drink to have fun! We did some crazy stuff and had a blast without a drop of alcohol (in fact, some people were kind of confused that we could have so much fun sober) It might make things harder to put up with with your roommates... but once you find some amazing non-drinking friends you can live with them the next 3 years and share all the crazy drunk roommate stories of your freshman year!

I hate it when my butt gets all sweaty when I'm riding or out at the barn and my jeans start sticking to my bum..... ugh... That annoys the heck outta me.

But yea... YOU CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN DOOO IT! *imagine that one guy from "The Water Boy"*
