Exclamation Ya'll Ever get randoms knotts in your neck??

UGH I was fine until 7th period today! I moved my neck wierd. .and now is all gone haywire LOL.. my neck hurts with the slightest of movement? Ever get that? And it stays for days! I had one of my friends rub it the WHOLE hour bus ride LOL.. and its still here! I even put the lifecare..( a shocking thing) on it.?

Anything I could try to help? Maybe an icyhot? LOL

You might have pinched a nerve, that hurts like hell.

Tiger Balm is fabulous for muscles, if you can find any. It smells though and doesn't wash off well, so use gloves to put it on.

Have you gone to a chiropractor? A lot of my chiropractic problems and pain are more or less muscles/knots conflicting with my spinal movement. My chiro spends more time getting knots out of my back than actually cracking joints. He also recommended I stretch my neck often because I tense up my trapezius muscles a lot from cleaning stalls/general barn work often and just general stress. Stretches just leaning your head over (think ear to shoulder) and then tipping your head forward so you're kind of jaw to collarbone. You'll feel when you get it right. Those help a lot.

I actually have an electro-stimulation device going on my trapezius muscles too right now.

When I move my head ear to shoulder it hurrrttss! Ha.. I have an icyhot.. but its not staying on too well.. and yeah that is what I was talking about..

Does your device have little black sticky pads?

It does. They need to be replaced because they're losing stickiness so I have to wipe them off with a damp rag to get them to stick. They're meant to be replaced around every 8 months.

It sounds more like a pinched nerve than a muscle problem, honestly.

Sounds like you may have pinched a muscle? I get that painful crick in my neck when I sleep wrong. I know it HURTS! Try icy hot and trying to rest your neck muscles and do relaxing stretches. That muscle contracting will only make it worse.

Take an ALEIVE. You pulled a muscle. The alieve helps dull the pain and gets any inflamation out. No healing can start till the inflammation goes down. I used to pull neck muscles alot when I was your age.

Alternate heat and cold packs too. I've had success many times over the yrs like this.

NO KIDDING!!! I did this a few months ago and I couldn't move my head at all without screaming! It was awful But I'm always tense and have major knots in my shoulders/neck. It gets to the point that my shoulder muscles burn, like they are right now! And I can't stretch or massage it out, haha
