    Yay Life!

    ^ what that says...

    More like 'Holy crap I need a vacation!' I haven't been on here in FOREVA!

    Between horses, showing, photographing, web designing, working 5 days a week and generally getting my shtuff together - I need a freaking vacation!!! A nice long one.

    My paint *see av* has been a wee bit neglected. He's been more of a pasture ornament with little rides here an there. I thought it'd be a good idea to hop on and show him one weekend and holy cow, he finally grew a brain! He's 9. Must be the age of brain growingness, because never has he been so good and so consistent at a show - and I'd only ridden him like, 7 times before that; not even in a row. Just a ride here, a ride there.

    Hopped on today to run some barrels and came to the conclusion that my horse is just the most awesome horse ever. He'd been loping, doing perfect WP, but saw those barrels and went into the proper mode, and ran his best patterns thusfar. I used to play around with barrel racing here and there, but my instructor keeps harassing me to run him when we hang out at speed shows. He was in the background, and came up with this casual conversation to a couple of mutual friends of ours - enough so I could hear him;

    "There should be a big paint horse running out here today... it just seems like there should be a paint horse horse out here running barrels... I think his name is somethin' along the lines of Cowboy."

    This guy has won some big stuff and rides the best horses around here... so if he's constantly on my case to run my horse......... I probably should, because there's something he's seeing there that I'm not able to pick up on, due to my lack of barrel racing-ness. The issue is, is that is scares the cheese out of me... but it is so. Much. Fun. And the atmosphere completely dominates the pleasure atmosphere.
