Thanks for the meteor shower reminder. I'll have to go out and take a look tonight.
Have fun with your dad

oh gosh! I just got back from the desert a couple hours ago.

Boy ohh boy! The sky was alive last night! I saw more meteors than I can count!! My sister and I looked for constelations and we even saw the Milky Way
We camped near the Underground House
And on our way to the campsite, we saw a little Kangaroo Rat! I was ADORABLE! Haha

We slept under the stars and the warm air was our blanket. The only bad thing was the moths flying on my face..

I woke up and the sun was shining and my dad was snoring

We went on a 4 mile hike and went geocaching but we didn't find anything cause the GPS was on the fritz..but the desert was totally B-E-A-UTIFUL! It was filled with cactus, jack rabbits, and animal tracks.

I unforutunatley didnt get any pics of the meteors cause my camera wasnt strong enough :(

But I got some awesome pics of the desert that i'll post up once I copy them onto the computer

Sounds like you had a lovely dad time. Those are great, cherish them.
I forget some folks can't see the stars that well. We can pretty much see the milky way and lots of stars just walking outside.

I know, VId, I was going to say the same thing! I see the stars here all the time and usually you can see the Milky Way!

But sounds like you had a great time and I can't wait to see the pictures!!! Lol
