    ThankyouThankyou....

I'm back despite the fact that I feel I don't have much to offer. Right now I don't own, nor do I take lessons. In fact I have sold all but 1 item of my tack. My last fall was pretty brutal; not only did it bruise ribs/sternum, but my confidence as well. The picture in my avatar was taken the last time I was on a horse, and even that was only for about 10 mins.

I was leasing a haflinger, who was just a dear! I miss him. I had to take him back however because I was laid off from my job and could not afford board. I was also having issues with the barn I was keeping him at. They were using my horse and tack without my permission. I had also went on vacation for 2 wks and when I came back, I found a very unruley, impossible to catch Fatty, who was not that way before I left him... So yea. Some say that boarding is the best experience in the world, but for me ... I don't know. I think if I were to try it again, I would NOT board with friends. Never mix business and friendship, that was the lesson I learned.

Other wise things have been going swell. Just pluggin away at school, I should be finished with that in July '10, so I am SERIOUSLY looking forward to that. I'm hoping against hope that with today's economy (although they say it's getting better) that I'll find a decent job in my small podunk neck of the woods.

I just recently fractured my ankle, so I have been laid up with that. I'm hoping to get back to 'life' and out of the cast in Nov. I was out scouting for a photography gig I had, and slipped off of a small lip, who woulda thunk it? Apparently I am a graceful gazelle.

Seth is doing great ... He's such a big boy. We're all actually getting over the H1N1. Seth brought it home, and Craig caught it. I don't think I ever got it, but it's hard to tell with me.

Other than that, nothing really new to report. How is everyone else? What did I miss?

Nice to hear you're doing swell. I'm sorry about your boarding/lesson thing and hope Seth and Craig are doing well after that H1N1.

About me... Well... my gap year stretched more than I planned at first. I didn't get into the college that I wanted now in the autumn 2009 so I'm still living at home with my parents. Actually I'm distance learning at the moment, decided to take some basic studies in the study programme of Bachelor of Social Services but because that's just so-called open college I can't graduate there but I have to apply for some 'real' college again. Actually there are some colleges starting after Christmas and I applied for some of them so I think I can finally perhaps continue my studies soon. During the spring/summer I worked in short periods and holidayed a bit.

Not much more here... fell firmly for my neigbor (the same guy that I ranted about before the previous Xmas) and finally heartened myself to ask him out in the late summer/early autumn. So got some heartaches with which I'm still somehow coping.

Hey Moxie, Welcome back and you have more to offer than you know. You have had some bad experiences and made some choices we would disagree with but so what. We are all learning, and if we're not, than we have the problem.

Yay, Moxie. Welcome back. We have missed you. I am so glad that everything is going well. And just because you don't have a horse doesn't mean that you don't have anything to offer. Come on honey, you have life experiences, knowledge, and smart @$$ remarks that we could all learn from. LOL.

Im here! I am touched by all of the warm welcomes. Being on here has made me want to get back into taking lessons, but I am still at an impasse in reguards to my over all confidence and finding a barn/horse/instructor that I can completely trust. It really amazes me how one person/experience can ruin someone. I suppose one could say it is what you make it. I don't know.

Anyway .... IM HERE! I've posted on a few threads, I've started a few threads of my own, and I am even down for the gift exchange Kelly if you are still down with me.

Luv ya Kell and everyone else.

Oooh and nice meeting you Jillybean ... LOL Can't remember your full name, but Jillybean seems fitting.
