Your Favorite Christmas song?

Sometimes, I think that they break out the Christmas music a little early to prep people for the big holiday shopping frenzy but I do love Christmas music. It is hard for me to pick a favorite song as there are so many good ones. I think my favorite is "Oh Holy Night" but it is hard to get a good version. I don't care for it when the singer thinks themselves too much the Diva and forgets the song is about Christ's birth, not their ability to show off.

Other faves include "It came upon a Midnight clear, Little drummer boy, Away in a manger" I love the classics.

What are your favorite songs? Do they bring back good memories for you? It is always amazing to me how a song can flood your mind with memories, good and bad.

I can't stand Christmas music, but if I have to be festive, I like the Grinch song.

And This Is Halloween. Does that count? I think so.

"A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is ultimately to be at peace with himself.
What a man can be, he must be.
" Abraham Maslow, 1968

The classics are cool, but the funny ones are lots of fun-helps to relieve some of the stress of the holiday season-LOL.

My all time favorite is What Child Is This. I love the version done by Andrea Bocelli and Mary J. Blige.

Funny one would have to be Tim Wilson - Redneck 12 days of Christmas. There are others from Bob & Tom but are not forum appropriate lol.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Best song ever. It's my favorite part of Christmas, watching that old, alwful claymation Rudolph movie.

This is followed closely by The Grinch. The original recipe.

My favorite is "get a garmin". :)

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

I cannot stand Christmas music, personally. I love the holiday and everything about it..just NOT the music.

I will say I like some of the parody/remix stuff..but it's all the bad one's that I'm not going to name where a kid could see, lol. I just love the looks I get :p

I do...I love it! I mean, "give me some figgy pudding"? Come on now, you have to admit that is funny.

I'm another that doesn't really like Christmas music. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad except radio stations in my area play the same 6 songs over and over just done by different people. I just got burned out on it when I was a kid. It's not so bad anymore because they don't start playing it until X-mas is close but when I was younger, it started the day after thanksgiving and listening to the radio meant hearing those same 6 songs all day and all night until the first of the year. Since then, I'm just "bleh" to those songs.

However, this is still one of my favorites just because I love Jeff Foxworthy.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
