Your other 'babies'?

I want to see your non-horse critters!

Here are mine: First is Miley, a two year old Red and White Irish Setter. We rescued her in February, abused and starved. She came AKC registered and microchipped though, I don't understand people.

Fergie, a six year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. We got her from an animal shelter in California, owner turn in. She was microchipped already and purebred, too!

And Iris, we got picked her up from a box in front of Wal*Mart in 2007 as a kitten.

Our family as a whole has eight dogs, but two of them are actually mine.

First is Skip, my 4yo Kelpie bitch. We bred her from two of my dad's working kelpies, Tuff and Holly. They were both black and tan, and we ended up with teo red and tans in the litter of eight. We kept the other red and tan, Tess, but she wasn't good on sheep so dad sold her. Skip isn't a very good working dog, she doesn't do it often enough, btu she comes with me on trail rides. Despite her size and constant energy, she always tries to convince me she's a lap dog :] She's crazy, but I love her.

And this is Rambo, my pup. We have him and his brother Charlie from the same litter. Pomeranian/Maltese/****zu cross, and he looks like none of them, lol! He's pretty crazy as well... Never sits still. He's like a rag doll, you can flip him upside down and scratch his belly and he just stays there peering up at you through the hair over his eyes, lol. Despite his hyperactivity he is doing really well at obedience, and already has sit, drop, stay, stand, dance, roll over, and leave it established. Hoping to teach him many more tricks!

And my newest baby, and young Budgie named Minx. She's a cobalt spangle hen. So far she is tame enough to sit on my finger, and i've had her on my shoulder twice. She has a beautiful chirp, and has learnt to mimic the kissy noise I use to get her on my finger. I hope to get her a friend soon, hoping for either a pied of some sort, or a yf2 cobalt/sky blue opaline.

Thanks! She's my baby. She overwhelms a lot of people with her constant energy, but she suits me to a T :]

I guess that comes from having a dog from birth, as well. I picked her out of the litter in the first few days lol!

I love your setter, I don't think I've ever seen one. She's a really beautiful dog! Kudos to you for rescuing those animals. I constantly look through the shelter and pound lists looking for friends for Skip, but I really can't get another dog at the moment!

Here's one of her from the same day actually looking at the camera. It was so hard to try and get her to look, everytime I made a noise she jumped up and tried to get over to me for pats :]
