Wink *PICTURE HEAVY* Who Doesn't Love Baby Photos or...... rant about inlaws

Recently I took some pictures of my 6 month old (actually he's 4 months in the pics) and everyone raves about them. I sort of mess around a bit with photography as a hobby, but I do take a lot of pride in my pictures. Recently my mother (MIL) and sister in law (SIL) visited with my nephew and OF COURSE MIL just HAD to have pictures of the boys together. SIL suggested I take the pictures of the kids together, and I thought..yeah..we can go to the park, maybe bring some bubbles and get candid photos of the boys playing with the bubbles etc. MIL replies "I want pictures suitable for framing." As If!!!!!! Anyway, she hauled their lil baby butts down to Sears and um, got some standard dry pictures. Unfortunately the boys were not very coordinated in their smiles so in every shot only one was smiling at a time.... such nice "frameable" photos.

Anyway, here are the ones that I took that SIL and everyone else raves about, funny I snapped them all off in a matter of half an hour, 1/4 of the time it took for the dry Sears shots.... Enjoy....and hey, what do you think, do you think they are "suitable for framing?"

Lovely!

The BEST kid shots are the candid ones. I took some photos of a friends toddler for a photography assignment. We dressed her up in a white dress and a bright red hat for some contrast. I got the BEST shot of her - Walking across their gravel driveway toward an old rusty plough with the most serious look of determination on her face and arms swinging. Some other good ones sitting on the plough playing.

'Set up' photos always look so forced!

Awwww... what a cutie and personally I think your pictures are WAY better than anything Sears could ever take. I'd much rather have those framed than anything else.

These pics are adorable, Jonette! I especially like the first and the third. What a sweet, happy smile! I like the Whinny the Poo sheets, too.
