I remember those. I really only enjoyed the cover art and the general idea, I guess. And the accuracy was definitely off...

It's the pillow book of a fictional girl, and it's like eight hundred pages long. This page has some more info.

Books are one of my favorite things in the world. I've always had a longing to be an author, even though I'm no good. I can eat away a book at amazing speeds too; I finished a 400 page book in about four or five hours, including lunch breaks. Not as fast as some, but I consider it pretty good.

As far as particular books I like, I have a few. I can't casually like books. I have a very obsessive personality. I will find a series (it rarely happens with singular books) and read and think over it constantly.

Below are particular series I've been obsessed with over the recent months:

Percy Jackson: I adore these books for the rich world they create. I've always like mythology, and setting that up in a modern era made this series irresistible.

Harry Potter: It's been a while, but I liked these books for the characters. Great characters and LOTS of them to love.

Artemis Fowl: This is my current love. I like these for the actiony plot and also for the characters. The world set-up isn't as attractive to me as Percy Jackson, but I'm learning to love.

^^ Funny thing is that I don't consider myself a fantasy fan, yet all these books are fantasy.

Gone with the Wind: The only book not in a series that I'm in love with. I fell for these because of the character development. Scarlett, for better or for worse, changed a lot throughout the book. I was very interesting to contrast her in the beginning with who she became at the end. Also, Melanie is my great. I wish all my friends were like her. Scarlett had no idea what she had until it was too late!

Black Beauty: The only horse book I really love. Classic and near perfect, simple as that.

And there is so, so much more I'm too tired to type...

Now, for a critical question. I have literally lost sleep over this thought and am wondering opinions.

Annabeth and Percy versus Holly and Artemis versus Ginny and Harry.

Who would win in a fight? (Magic and weapons permitted.)

I'm the same. I can't read two books and once and if i'm in a series, I just immerse myself and get my hands on the next books as quickly as possible.

Yep, I've read every single Maximum Ride book to date with the exception of the most current- Fang. They are all by James Patterson. I can safely say that those books are my favorite series.

And yes, I am a reader. My library so far-

    Stormy,

I LOVE Hitch-hiker's Guide! I've read them all three or four times over and have a magnet in my locker with the quote, "In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people angry and is widely regarded as a bad move."

    Also, Ford is awsome personified.

What would be a good chapter book for me to read to my son? He's 7...?
