For the first time in several years, I decided to sign up for NaNoWriMo again! National Novel Writing Month
Anyone else doing it this year?
I've got my novel idea, but I don't like the name I picked for it.
This is the blurb I wrote. Any ideas for a good title?
"Caleb is a shapeshifter. A giant pitch black wolf. Not a werewolf as the movies depict them: all deformed, slavering, crazed beasts who want nothing more than to eat humans. Caleb is a protector of mankind and that's all he's ever wanted. He's been that way since he was bitten by a Pict shapeshifter at the Battle of Badon Hill in 516 AD. Now, he and his pack protect Seattle and the surrounding forests from vampires and other supernatural nasties. But someone, or something, is targeting the pack...and Caleb in particular. Can Caleb solve the mystery of whose hand directs events from the shadows before all-out war erupts and the humans realize that all their worst nightmares are true? Even more important, can he figure out why he is so enthralled by the young woman who saves his life and why he can't seem to get her out of his head?
Lorelei Cooper is just a small-town girl trying to make it in the big city. Newly unemployed and completely unimpressed with the string of bad blind dates her best friend has pushed on her, Rori has given up on men and on life in Seattle. Until she wakes up after one particularly nightmarish blind date to find that she's missing three days of her life, she has a gorgeous man who is badly injured unconscious in her bathtub, and she is suddenly a very unwilling pawn thrown into the middle of a millennia-old war between shapeshifters and vampires. As she nurses her unintended house guest back to health, she finds herself falling hard for him...even after he reveals his greatest secret to her: that he is a shapeshifter destined to protect mankind forever. Even worse, Rori has developed a taste for blood. What happens when the man she's falling in love with realizes that she is now his mortal enemy? Will he give up everything to be with her, or will he do the unthinkable and kill her as pack law demands?"
