Besides horses, what are your favorite animals and why?

Besides horses, I love wolves. They are such amazing animals and are so intelligent and beautiful. I love how they can be both loners and family(pack) oriented, I love the way they hunt.

My other faves are dragons (I know they are fictional, but still..) elephants, large cats (panthers, leopards ect), dolphins, sharks and hawks. Lol I can't just have two or three favorites

My second favorite animal would have to be the white-tail deer. As a deer hunter I have so much respect for these animals. The incredible strenght they have to live. I read an article about a deer getting shot in the heart, that it actually took a corner of the heart off, and the deer still ran a mile away. They are hardy creatures and very intelligent.

Besides horses? Dolphins and Killerwhales! Absolutely stunning animals... and sometimes sealions with their pretty eyes!

It is my firm belief that goats are the second best animal to horses. Why else are they such great companion animals? :)

Giraffes, orcas, wolves, bats, and pretty much anything mammalian, but giraffes are my number 1 favorite animal after horses.

If they ever breed dwarf giraffes, I'll be first in line to buy one!

Giraffes are the only truly mute mammal; they have no vocal chords.

What's not to like about giraffes? They're graceful, colorfully marked, and aesthetically pleasing.

Second after giraffes are leopards, interestingly enough for the same reasons I like giraffes, although I'd never want to own one. Large predators do not make good pets.

I don't like wolverines or hyenas, though. Wolverines because they're vicious brutes, and hyenas because I find them hideously ugly. I know they can't help it, but I still don't like 'em!

Besides horses, I have a lot of favorites.
(in no order): manatee, moose, black panther, dolphin, domestic rat, guinea pig, white tiger, wolf, orca, beluga whale, domestic cats(preferably black), larger domestic dogs(Golden Retriever, Siberian Husky, Great Dane), seal, otter.

My dog. I absolutely LOVE dogs. They are such incredible and intuitive animals. My dog is a phenomenal reader. He knows when you're sick, he knows when you're scared , he knows when you need a smile or a hug. I've had him for 9 years, and he's been an absolutely phenomenal little guy.

So my answer...dogs.

Im with you for the dogs my 2 geldings they're loyal animals and protective of who they love they're fun to play with and very intelligent.
Also dunno if this is true but I was told if you were to die in a room with a dog it would lay by your side and die with you but if you were to die in a room with a cat it would eventually eat you
