Crochet any one?

Any one else out there enjoy crochet? Or knitting?
I have found it is very addicting!
It's a very therapeutic way to pass the Non-Horsey hours away. Great for those long cold, dreary Winter months....

I've done a whole lot of afghans over the last few years. But then really got hooked on Doilies the last couple Winters.
So, thought I might share a few that I have done just recently.
I only have one afghan "digital" pic, so I'll throw that up too. (The rest are all on regular film...)

Hmmm, looks like I am the one and only crochet nerd on the forum.
Oh well, what can I say.....I'm just an old fuddy-duddy before my time.

My grandma taught me how to crochet. I haven't done it in a few months though. I only know the basic, and have only made scarfs. I wanted to make a simple afghan, but my grandma is very impatient and yells at me when I mess up..So I might not be doing that. Your doiles are really really pretty. Do you know of a website that can help teach me how to make a afghan? I only know how to do a single and double crochet (think that's what they are called).

Oh and speaking about sewing..you should of saw me when my aunt asked me if I wanted to help her make her work outfit..haha. Lets just say that it didn't turn out to well.

Beautiful work! I have tried my hand at it before but never did get good enough to ever start a real project. Though I love hand crocheted and knitted things. My neighbor is going to crochet a blanket for me, for my new upcoming grandbaby.

I have to say I especially love the delicate look of crocheted things in the fine thread. Amazing!

Don't crochet or knit, but I'm learning to hitch horsehair. I'll post pics when I finish the shoo-fly I'm working on...might be 6 years from now lol!

Those doilies are outstanding! Have you thought about making ear bonnets for horses? I bet you could make some pretty cool custom ones! :)

Wishingforahorse, if you can make a scarf you can make an afghan.. Simple stitches work very well for simple afghans.. go here and scroll down to the crochet folder. Check these often for free patterns, some are very easy.. Also check the lion brand yarn site.. They have a lot of freebies.
